I
can't believe we leave tomorrow for our trip to
Young Life's Washington Family Ranch-Creekside as the second group of
WyldLife Campers from
Buffalo. Last year was not only the first year WFR-Creekside was opened,
but it was also the first time Buffalo, Wyoming has ever sent campers
to camp. I took 5 middle schoolers to camp last year.
On Monday, June 25th we will be leaving
for WyldLife Camp at 5pm! We will be traveling from Buffalo to
Billings, Montana where we will meet up with Young Life of Billings,
along with Big Sky, Montana and Cody, Wyoming to share a bus to
Antelope, Oregon.
Would you please remember to pray for us everyday? We would love to
be soaked in your prayers as we get soaked at camp. We return Sunday, July 1st.
Here is how you can pray for us and our other friends attending WFR-Creekside:
For safe travels
For the leaders to have energy and patience
For students to encounter Jesus at a deeper level than before, or for the first time
In Young Life our hope is that students will move closer to God.
Some students are indifferent toward Him, pray that they would become
curious. Pray that curious kids would become searchers. Pray that
searchers would experience Him. And pray that kids who know Christ,
would become more devoted to Him.
Here are the names from Buffalo you can be praying for:
Addie
Kiley
Kinzee
Kimie
Kyra Lexy
These
campers have been doing fundraisers and have raised their way to camp, but more is always needed for camp
next year and throughout the year for Young Life to make a difference
in our community.
If you consider supporting you may do so online, just click on the link below We
would welcome and appreciate the gift. However, most importantly is your gift of prayer.
What
an interesting summer I have already had and still more is planned for
me. However, this week the enemy tried to hit me pretty hard, not only
with matters of the heart and my running goal of couch to 5K, But, Friday I found out that they sold
the house I have been renting. I was suppose to get some kind of notice
of when there was even an offer and then 60 days when it did sell.
However, the new owners would like me out by August 1st, but were really
nice and will work with me especially when I shared the only problem
is I leave tomorrow and with my other plans (visit friends in Powell,
WY; Fort Collins and Denver, CO, along with joining a Youth Group from
Michigan at Noah's Ark Adventures in Buena Vista, CO) am pretty much
gone the next
3 weeks, home about 2 weeks and then on Young Life assignment for 3
1/2 weeks back at WFR-Creekside to finish out the summer.
Praise God though, within less than a day I found a new place to
live, and that is an amazing God story itself. But, now have to pack,
move and settle in to new place in the
less than 2 weeks I'll be home. Maybe miraculously my house can pack
itself up between July 3-27 if I leave the boxes out while I'm gone.
Wishful thinking.... I KNOW all will work out God is so good, but the
enemy wouldn't be hitting so hard if something Amazing
wasn't about to
happen in lives over the next weeks!!
A group from my church will be down in Casper, Wyoming at the same time
we our at camp serving with World Changers and could use prayer. Also,
if you could pray about a job for me, as I don't have one for
the fall yet. And for Murray because the next couple of months are
going to be pretty hard on my dog.
I look forward to what God will do during "the best week of our lives" at WyldLife WFR-Creekside! Thank you for joining in our Young Life Buffalo story! We can't wait
to share
ALL that God does!
Waiting Expectantly with Hopeful Trust, Kimie Morton Volunteer Area Director
